Why does the merge tool only accept single-page files?

The merge tool places each file as one tile on the sheet. Multi-page files would be ambiguous — the tool wouldn’t know which page to use. Use the PDF Splitter first to break your artwork into individual pages, then upload those to the merge tool.

What’s the difference between Single Merge and Bulk Merge?

Both produce the same output. Single Merge shows a live visual preview of your first page and is best for smaller batches. Bulk Merge has no preview but displays files in rows, making it much easier to manage and adjust quantities across a large number of files.

How do I set print quantities for each file?

You have two options: format your filenames with quantity information before uploading (see instructions here), or enter quantities manually in the file list after uploading. Either approach works the same way.

What file types are supported?

The merge, collate, and splitter tools all support PDF, JPG, and PNG files. The mail merge tool accepts PDF and JPG templates with a CSV data file.

Can my whole team use File Splice?

Yes. In the Organization section you can create a team and invite members. Everyone in the organization shares access to the same uploaded files and saved templates, so jobs keep moving no matter who’s in the shop.

Where do I find my finished files?

All completed builds appear in the History section. You can watch builds complete in real time and download them as soon as they’re ready. Files stay in History so you can re-download later without rebuilding.
