Before we accept your job we’ll need a bit of information. These are the things we need to know in order to set up your job and run it:
- The output size of your file. Do you need PDFs merged on a a standard 8.5”x11” sheets? Maybe you need them in 12”x18” sheets for a commercial press. Or maybe we’re printing on a web fed press and it’s a continuous file with a set width. Whatever the size of your material, that is the first bit of info we need.
- The size of the files you are merging along with their required bleed and spacing. What we do is create a custom template for your files and they can be tailored to whatever size and spacing requirements you have.
- The merge style. Are these standard step and repeat where they just run down or across the page and then down? Maybe you need cut and stack format? Whatever the merge style is chances are we can do that for you.
- Extras. Crop marks? Cover sheets between files? Variable quantities? Break file with the order numbers? Batch sizes? We have a few extra settings we can throw in that make life particularly easy if you’re merging a large amount of PDF files.
Once we confirm that we can complete your PDF merging job we’ll run a small test and send it over to confirm with you that it’s correct.
How Do We Get Your PDF Files?
If you signed up for an account we can walk you through how to upload your files either via FTP or web FTP into the system so we can merge them. If you don’t have an account with us we can send you a Dropbox link or vice versa.
What Does it Cost to Get My PDF Files Merged?
Since there are so many variables involved with offering a service that will merge large quantities of PDF files there is not flat or “standard” price. We will say though, it’s affordable compared to buying a software solution and learning how to do it yourself. We’ll get most jobs merged and back to you within minutes or hours depending upon the complexity of the job and how busy we are.
